Holistic Sleep Coach | Parent–Infant Practitioner

I am a Holistic Sleep Coach and Parent–Infant Practitioner based in Scotland, with over 10 years’ experience supporting babies, young children and their families. Since completing the Holistic Sleep Coaching Programme in 2019, my practice has evolved from private sleep support into specialist parent–infant and family work within the public sector.

I currently work within a multidisciplinary Parent–Infant Partnership service, supporting expectant parents and families with babies and young children who may be experiencing adversity, trauma, parental mental health difficulties, neurodiversity, poverty, care experience and child protection concerns. My work is grounded in attachment theory, infant mental health, trauma-informed practice and relationship-based approaches.

Alongside my sleep coaching qualification, I hold a BA (Hons) in Child and Youth Studies and have undertaken training in Parents Under Pressure (PUP), Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), the Alarm Distress Baby Scale (ADBB), Solihull Approach-informed practice, infant observation and assessment. I am also undertaking specialist training in infant mental health through my current role, further developing my understanding of early relationships, attachment, infant development and the impact of adversity on babies and their families.

A significant part of my role involves observing and understanding the parent–infant relationship, supporting parents to recognise and respond to their baby’s cues, communication and emotional needs. Through assessment, reflective conversations and therapeutic support plans, I work alongside parents to strengthen confidence, build attuned relationships and promote positive developmental outcomes for their babies. Central to my practice is ensuring that the infant’s experience and emotional wellbeing remain visible within complex family and safeguarding systems.

My particular interests include infant mental health, attachment, emotional regulation, neurodevelopment, sleep, trauma and resilience. I am especially passionate about helping parents understand their baby’s individual temperament, developmental needs and unique ways of communicating, recognising that behaviour, sleep and emotional wellbeing are deeply connected to relationships and the wider family context.

Although I no longer offer private sleep consultations, the principles of holistic sleep coaching continue to inform my work every day. I remain committed to evidence-informed, responsive and relationship-centred practice, and I value being part of the Holistic Sleep Coaching community.
